Ferryhill Town Band has vacancies for the following positions;
Principal Cornet
All other players welcome too!
Ferryhill Town Band are going from strength to strength and have worked hard over the last few years to secure success at recent contests, these include our impressive 4th place finish at National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain in 2025.
We enjoy a good mix of contesting and concerts, and there’s always plenty going on. Whether you’re an experienced principal or a player looking for that next step, we’d love to hear from you.
Before we look ahead, though, we want to say a big thank you to Daisy, our current Principal Cornet. ❤️
Daisy has been brilliant for us, both on the contest stage and at concerts. To take on the role of Principal Cornet at such a young age and do it so well is a real achievement, and we’re very proud to have had her leading our front row.
Daisy now needs to take some time away from playing for mouth surgery, and we’ll certainly miss having her with us. We’re wishing her all the very best for the surgery and a speedy recovery. Take care of yourself, Daisy, and thank you for everything you’ve done for the band! 💚💛
Could you be our next Principal Cornet? 🎺
📍 Rehearsals: Wednesdays and Sundays, Market Place, Bishop Auckland.
